If you are trying to scale production and your prototype vendor can’t handle increased volume or isn’t offering competitive prices, Wagner Machine is here to support you for low volume or high volume production machining. We have the right equipment, experience, and quality procedures to help reduce growing pains and help you scale as quickly as needed.
Why Choose Wagner?
1. Production Volume
Wagner has more than 45 CNC machines including 5-axis mills, 3-axis mills, Swiss lathes, and twin spindle conventional lathes with flexible automation to accommodate a wide range of production volumes and schedules. We offer low volume production machining starting around 100 parts and high volume production machining that can handle order quantities in excess of 300,000. We regularly run jobs with scheduled weekly or monthly deliveries, and flexible stocking options are also available to ensure your parts are on the shelf for immediate delivery if you have varied demand.
2. Equipment and Automation
Automation is the new normal at Wagner. Our investments in automation enable us to handle volume production for many parts at the same time. In the lathe department, we have bar feeders on Swiss and conventional lathes to handle production volumes on parts up to 2.625” diameter. In the mill department, we have seven robotically loaded 3-axis and 5-axis machines that can run automated 24 hours per day.
Our Matsuura MAM72-35V 5-axis machining center is a new automated option with larger part capacity and extremely high accuracy. With its 32 pallet pool and 330 tool changer the MAM72-35V transitions seamlessly between prototype, high-volume production, and low-volume repeat jobs. The machine boasts a positioning accuracy of less than 0.0001” and repeatability better than 0.00005” over the full travel, meaning it’s capable of achieving the tightest tolerances you could possibly need.
3. Process Control
The most important element of ramping from prototype to production is having consistent and reliable processes to ensure efficiency and repeatability.
With over 40 years of experience under our belt, Wagner has developed proven high volume production machining processes for almost any type of part you can imagine. On the rare occasion that we’re confronted with something completely new to us, we can lean on past projects to develop a process that will ensure reliable production.
4. Quality Control
We take quality extremely seriously at Wagner—we wouldn’t be where we are today if we didn’t. Maintaining ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 certifications requires us to meticulously define our processes, document every last detail, and focus on continuous improvement.
As with our machining processes, we have the right people and the right inspection equipment for superior quality control. Every new hire spends their first week in the quality department with our four dedicated quality team members, learning about quality control and seeing the end products. By the time they begin in their assigned role, a commitment to quality is baked into their mindset.
Let’s Discuss Your High Volume Machining Needs
