Entry Level Machinist Wanted

Wagner Machine Company is looking for an entry level, production machinist that works well in a team-oriented environment. Are you someone who is excited about manufacturing, organized, and can solve problems quickly and efficiently? You will be working diligently alongside our support staff to create “impossible” parts for several different industries. We need our production machinists to be very attentive to detail and highly motivated as you’ll be inspecting high quality precision and custom parts. 

Our ideal candidate is intellectually sharp, always willing to identify areas of improvement, and is willing to come to work and learn something new every single day. You’ll be working with CAD/CAM software to program CNC machines, and you’ll be expected to set up and operate a CNC lathe or mill. You will also be sanding and deburring parts according to customer specifications.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Read prints and CAD files
  • Operate CNC lathe or mill: loading and unloading parts
  • Inspect parts according to inspection plan
  • Pay attention to small details including part finish, deburring and shifting dimentions
  • Carefully deburr and clean finished parts
  • Complete work on time
  • Keep learning
  • Create and update documentation to company standards
  • Maintain accountability to performance standards and core values
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Due to ITAR compliance, applicants must be US Citizens or Greencard holders
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and pass a drug-screen and background check
  • Strong computer skills
Stand-out Qualifications
  • Prior experience in
    • a LEAN Manufacturing or 5S setting
    • an ISO9001 or AS9100D certified business
  • Completion of a high school shop class
  • Enrollment in or completion of an Industrial Technology Degree program
